President and CEO
Pamela Petrow is President and CEO of Vector Security, Inc. Ms. Petrow began her career at Vector Security in 1982. After a series of promotions, she was appointed Senior Vice President of the Central Stations and Information Services Group in 1997. In 2004, she was promoted to Executive Vice President, and in 2008, she was again promoted to Chief Operating Officer. In October of 2010, Ms. Petrow was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer.
Ms. Petrow has held leadership positions in the Pennsylvania Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (PBFAA); Electronic Security Association (ESA); the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) executive committee; and is the current President of CSAA International. She is involved with the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials – International (APCO), and received its President’s Award in 2009 for her outstanding contributions to the electronic transmission of signals between central stations and 911 dispatch centers. In 2014, she was presented with an Ernst & Young (EY) Entrepreneur Of The Year™ Award in the Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia program.
In 2006, she graduated from the prestigious Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program.
Executive Vice President
Michael Grady is Executive Vice President of Vector Security, Inc. He oversees its National Accounts Division and all sales for the company.
Mr. Grady began his career at Vector in 1983. After several promotions, he was appointed Vice President of National Accounts in 1993. He became Senior Vice President in 2006, and was promoted to his current position in 2008.
He serves on the Loss Prevention Foundation (LPF) board; is a member of the Retail Industry Leaders’ Association (RILA) steering committee and is an active member of the National Retail Federation (NRF), ASIS International, National Electronic Security Association (ESA) and the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA). He has completed leadership programs at Harvard Business School and The University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business.
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Bates joined Vector Security in November 2013 from United Technologies, where he began as a regional operation manager and was later promoted to manager of operations. Prior to that, he was director of operational excellence at Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies.
A business management graduate of Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, Mr. Bates has also completed the Darden Executive Education Program in Strategic Leadership at the University of Virginia.
Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer for Vector Security, Chuck Thropp is responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial activities, including controllership, tax, treasury, risk management, and Vector Security’s financial strategy to help grow its business operations and enhance shareholder value.
Mr. Thropp has more than 25 years of financial leadership expertise, and joined Vector Security in 2016 from Unify, Inc., one of the world’s leading communications software and services firms, where he was Senior Vice President and CFO, North America. While at Unify, he led a team of finance professionals through a major transformation initiative; also developing and executing the commercial turn-around strategy for the region. He has also held senior-level finance positions with Westcon Group, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
A certified public accountant, Mr. Thropp holds a bachelor’s degree in business economics from the University of Pittsburgh.
Vice President of Human Resources
Leslie Baker is the Vice President of Human Resources for Vector Security, Inc. and is responsible for all areas of employee support including talent management, organizational development, employee relations and compensation. Ms. Baker manages line and staff functions as well as strategic and tactical areas of HR including projects, people and functions aimed at improving the customer experience and minimizing company exposure.
Ms. Baker joined Vector Security after serving lead HR roles with EDMC Online Higher Education and American Eagle Outfitters and brings over 16 years of HR experience to Vector Security supporting thousands of employees.
Ms. Baker holds an M.A., Industrial and Labor Relations from Indiana University of Pennsylvania; and a B.A. Rhetoric and Communications from the University of Pittsburgh.
Vice President of Acquisitions
As Vice President of Acquisitions for Vector Security, Inc., Vince DiValerio is responsible for all acquisition activities including prospecting, due diligence and supporting conversion and integration.
Mr. DiValerio began his career with the company in 1978 as an office manager. He later became a residential sales representative and then a residential sales manager in the Philadelphia office. In 1995, he was promoted to manager of the Philadelphia branch before becoming manager of the Philadelphia district in 1998. He has been in his current post since 2000. An accounting graduate of Philadelphia's Drexel University, Mr. DiValerio is based out of the Plymouth Meeting office of Vector Security.
Vice President of Information Systems
Thom Helisek serves as Vector Security’s Vice President of Information Services. He oversees Vector’s network and software infrastructure, daily user support, and technology acquisition and application.
Mr. Helisek joined Vector in 1994, as a Computer Programmer and Analyst. In 1996, he was promoted to his current position. Helisek began his career as a software developer, and then became a partner/founder/ VP of a software development business that designed software for the U.S. Department of Defense and private industries.
Vice President of the Authorized Dealer Division
John Madden is the Vice President of the Authorized Dealer Program for Vector Security, Inc., overseeing the sales and support of the network of Authorized Dealers at Vector Security.
Mr. Madden began his career in the security industry in 1994 after graduating from Central Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. In 1997, Mr. Madden joined Vector Security as District Sales Manager for the Washington Market. Mr. Madden was promoted to his current position in 2001.
Vice President of Marketing
Art Miller is the Vice President of Marketing for Vector Security, Inc., and oversees all aspects of marketing corporate-wide.
Mr. Miller began his career in marketing over 25 years ago and worked in both agency and corporate marketing, most recently in the telecommunications and energy sectors for global companies with emphasis in the US and Canada.
He is an award winning creative and marketing professional who is responsible for developing and executing clearly defined marketing strategies and integrated marketing communications programs both online and offline that support business growth, improve the customer experience, and build brand recognition.
Vice President of Central Station Services
Anita Ostrowski is the Vice President of Central Station Services for Vector Security, Inc. and is responsible for the operations of all alarm monitoring centers within the Vector Security operations. Ms. Ostrowski joined the company in 1985 as a Central Station Operator after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
During her career with Vector Security, Ms. Ostrowski has received several promotions: Shift Supervisor, Assistant Central Station Manager, Central Station Manager and Assistant Vice President. In 2008, Ms. Ostrowski was promoted to her current position as Vice President of Central Station Services.
Ms. Ostrowski is a member of the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) ASAP to PSAP steering committee as well as the technical committee. In 2008, Ms. Ostrowski was named Central Station Manager of the Year at the ESX conference, sponsored by CSAA and SDM Magazine.
Senior Contracts Counsel
As Senior Contracts Counsel for Vector Security, Ms. Rattigan is responsible for managing the creation, review, and negotiation of contracts for the company, as well as other various legal matters.
Ms. Rattigan joined Vector Security in 2009 as a Corporate Compliance Coordinator, subsequently moving to the role of Corporate Compliance Manager. She was promoted to her current position in 2015. Prior to joining Vector Security, she was an associate attorney at Gillotti, Capristo & Beck in Pittsburgh.
A graduate of the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in English, and of the University of Pittsburgh with a J.D., Ms. Rattigan is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
