When power is restored, your system may start beeping

In the event of a power failure, your system may start beeping. Most systems will allow you to silence the beeping using one of the following methods:

  • Disarm your system by entering your code;
  • Arm your system and immediately disarm; or
  • Press the status button on your keypad.

If your system does not respond to one of these methods, find your control panel on this helpful mute control panel instruction guide.

You may experience the system beeping or reporting trouble conditions during the power failure. Extended power outages may cause the system to go into failure. This is normal because the battery has been depleted. Once the power is restored, your system will recharge and should be fully operational. If your system fails to return to normal 48 hours after power is restored, please contact your local office for service.

Your branch phone number can be found by visiting our Locations page, or by selecting “Where are you located?” link at the top of the page and entering your zip code.
