Axis releases firmware updates

Axis Communications, a manufacturer of network video cameras and other security products, has announced new firmware that addresses a recently disclosed vulnerability.

Axis Communications, a manufacturer of network video cameras and other security products, has announced new firmware that addresses a recently disclosed vulnerability. The vulnerability could allow an attacker to access or control devices without authorization, and is considered "critical" for devices that are directly accessible via the internet. Devices behind a firewall and those that are not connected to a network are considered to be at low risk.

As a valued Vector Security customer, please be advised that your CloudControl ™ cameras have been updated to address a security issue disclosed by Axis Communications. There is no cause for concern, and no action is required on your part.
