Find your alarm panel type below, then follow the easy steps listed to test your specific panel!

UTC Panels

Concord panels:  Press 8 – enter your master code – Press  2

Simon panels: open the cover – enter your master code – press “Test” twice – then press “Done” and close cover

Simon XT Go into the menu – press “System Test” - Press Ok – Arrow down twice – Press Ok – enter code number – Press Ok – Arrow down until the keypad read “Comm Test” – Press Ok

NOTE: If your system is connected to a landline for backup or primary communication, your landline may be inactive (dead) while the test is being performed. Panel will attempt 8 phone calls to send test.  If test causes phone line disruption, wait 15 minutes for phone line to restore.

Honeywell

Lynx:  L3000 and below, Lynx REN

First Alert:  FA 215, FA260, FA270, FA560, FA570

Ready Guard

  • System must be “READY TO ARM” to enter the “Manual Dialer Test Mode”
  • Enter your master code + 5 + 1
  • If “Test” or “CC” is displayed on your keypad, the panel will attempt to send a Test Report to the monitoring center
  • If the Test Report is successful, the keypad will display "Phone Okay," or "Cd" on Fixed English Keypads
  • If the Test Report fails, the keypad will display "Comm Failure," or “Fc” on Fixed English Keypads 
  • To exit this mode, enter your master code + off (1). 
  • The dialer test DOES NOT make an audible sound


Lynx:   L5000 & L5100 (Touch screen keypads):  Go into Tools – enter your master code – Press “Test” – Comm. Test

Comm. Test – Performs network diagnostics and sends test alarms. The tests available depend on the type of communications module installed.
