Did you know that more than 98.5% of emergency services
dispatches are false alarms?
Even though a small percentage are, indeed, real, we cannot know until emergency services are dispatched. As you can imagine, emergency personnel dispatches cost money, and more and more jurisdictions are passing those costs along to you as fines.
It is essential that we work together to stop false alarms. We have already implemented 2nd Call Verification, a proven method of verification that affords our customers a second opportunity to identify a false alarm prior to dispatching emergency personnel.
We must be proactive, though. Please take a moment and visit the False Alarm Reduction Association website and read through their bulletins and brochures for tips on how you can prevent false alarms. Topics range from owning pets to vacationing to spring cleaning.
