Answer: Yes. Simply click on on Resources then Customer
Reports from the
Vector Security, Inc website – www.vectorsecurity.com
A box titled Enter Network Password
will appear. Enter the following
information:
User Name: "testuser" (do
not enter quotes)
Password: "sample" (do
not enter quotes)
Remember that both User Name and
Password are case-sensitive. These
should both be lower-case.
Click "View your reports".
This will
respond by showing you ‘folders’ containing
the weeks of a month.
Click on the week you want to
view. (See the chart below for
week numbers).
This will
show you the available
reports or ‘files’ in
that week.
Click on the report you wish to
view. (See below for information
on saving your report).
- Question: How do I request to
receive my reports from the Vector
Security website instead of via
mail?
Answer: Either return your request
card or call your branch
sales office and ask to
speak with the Web-Based
Activity Reports Support
Person.
- Question: How do I receive my
User Name and Password?
Answer: Within 2 weeks from your
request, you will receive a letter
from Vector Security, Inc that
includes your User Name. For security
purposes, you will receive another
letter that includes your Password.
Beginning with the next Monday,
your reports will be available
from the Vector Security, Inc website.
- Question: When are the reports
available?
Answer: All reports will be available
to users each non-holiday Monday
after 5:00 pm eastern time. See
the schedule below for week numbers
and report dates.
- Question: What should I do if
I forget my User Name and/or Password?
Answer: Please call your branch
sales office and ask to speak with
the Web-Based Activity Reports
Support Person. After asking you
several questions, this support
person will be able to provide
you with the information you need.
- Question: Are User Names and
Passwords case sensitive?
Answer: Yes. Please make sure
to enter the information exactly
the way it was printed when it
was sent to you.
- Question: What is the "_" in
my User Name or Password?
Answer: This
character is an underscore.
You can type this character
by pressing the SHIFT and
minus sign on your main
keyboard at the same time.
- Question: Why do I enter my User
Name and Password but still cannot
view my reports?
Answer: Please closely review the
original information sent
to you from Vector. You
might be entering a lower-case "L" instead of the
number "1" or vice versa.
- Question: How many User Names
and Passwords can I have?
Answer: Currently, you can have
one User Name and Password per
company or per site.
- Question: If one of my employees
leaves, how can I change my password
or add/delete reports.
Answer: Please call your branch
sales office and ask to speak with
the Web-Based Activity Reports
Support Person. After being properly
identified, the support person
will take your request. Your request
will be included in the next run.
- Question: In what folder is my
data?
Answer: Below is a table
that shows the week numbers
and report date range
for the current month.
Please remember that
reports will be available
the non-holiday Monday
after 5:00 pm eastern
time following the report
range end date.
Criteria: Saturday's date is the determining
date. Notice below that while a portion of a week
may be in another month if Saturday falls in this
month it is Week 1.

Your
reports will be available
for 4 weeks. As each
month passes, the previous
month reports are deleted.
Since there are few
months with 5 weeks,
you may have data in
the Week5 folder that
is more than 4 weeks
old.
- Question: How can I save my
data onto my hard drive?
Answer: Each
report is a text (txt)
file that can be read
by any text editor
or word processor.
From your browser,
choose File/Save As
to save the current report
to your local hard drive.
Notepad or Wordpad
(both come with MS-Windows)
can be used to open,
view, and print this
report.
