What is an LPF Scholarship?

Each year, Vector Security Networks® grants a number of LPF Loss Prevention (LPQ) and Loss Prevention Certified (LPC) scholarships to the LP/AP Community. Worthy candidates for the scholarships have shown a dedication to a long-term career in North American retail loss prevention, and a willingness to commit themselves to continuing their education.

The goal of the LPF Scholarship Program is to provide LPQ & LPC scholarships to well-deserving loss prevention professionals and new entrants to the retail LP industry. The scholarships fund the cost of course materials related to obtaining certification from the LPF and one exam attempt. Over 400 scholarships have been awarded since the program began in 2009.

Important things to note:

• Open to any LP/AP professional who has not received a scholarship for the same course in the past 3 years.

• You will have one year to complete the coursework before your course expires. (Any extension must be approved. If approved, extensions are $125 for an additional 3 months.)

• Upon completion of the course, you will need to pass a proctored exam to become certified. Each scholarship includes one attempt at the exam. (additional exam attempts are: LPQ Exam $250 / LPC Exam $300) *Check with your employer for reimbursement options.

• Scholarships will be awarded the week of June 1, 2026

• Scholarships are non-transferrable.
