Jim Simons: Managing Technical Services, Compliance Issues and False Alarm Reduction
Successfully managing our technical services requirements has expanded far beyond just
providing competent installation and service crews at our customers locations on a timely
basis. Today, it includes successfully mass-deploying nationwide technology roll outs
involving thousands of sites and re-establishing services to locations impacted by a
record number of national disasters.
Vectors Compliance Department also assists our customers with keeping track of increasingly
complex local and state alarm compliance codes, and aids them in reducing the impact of false
alarms and needless police dispatches. Thus far, we have collected data from over 400
municipalities and nearly 30 states, and are counseling our customers regarding the content
of these rules and what they must do to remain compliant. This effort has become part of a
greater one to reduce false alarms and the needless waste of public resources they create.
We have already helped one of our national retailers reduce their false alarms by an estimated
60%.
